ABOUT DR. VEGA
Marco Vega, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist serving adult patients at Forefront Behavioral Health in Austin, Texas. Dr. Vega offers patient-centered psychiatric care with a therapeutic approach to medication management. He helps patients with mood disorders, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), among others.
Dr. Vega attained his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and graduated with honors—Summa Cum Laude from the University of Texas Pan American in Edinburg, TX. He went on to attend medical school where he earned his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX where he received a full scholarship via the Lozano Long Scholarship Foundation. He then completed his Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX where he served as Assistant Chief Resident during his third year and Chief Resident during his final year of residency. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
